All Souls is one of the colleges of the University of Oxford. We are primarily an academic research institution with particular strengths in the humanities and social and theoretical sciences, and an outstanding library. We also have strong ties to public life. Our Fellows are also involved in teaching and supervision of research, but there are no undergraduates at the college. The College was founded in 1438 by Henry Chichele, the Archbishop of Canterbury. It is situated in the heart of Oxford on the corner of High Street and Catte Street, with architecture dating from the fifteenth and eighteenth centuries. The properties at 10-15 High Street are just a few minutes’ walk away from the main College site. All Souls has more than eighty Fellows, ranging from early-career academics to holders of Professorships in the University, with a diverse mix of subjects, including Classics, Economics, History, Law, Life Sciences, Literature, Maths, Philosophy, Physics, and Politics. There are also Visiting Fellows from around the world and a community of research-active Emeritus Fellows. Research and teaching in All Souls has grown strongly over the years, but the space to enable it has not. That is why the opportunity created by the acquisition of 10-15 High Street is so important for the College’s pursuit of its academic mission into the future. Members of the public are welcome to visit the College’s quadrangles and Chapel from 2pm to 4pm on weekdays and Sundays when the College is open. Project team
